The First Soup Line
The cost of the first soup line was heavy, but not for the person who fed the hungry. It cost the one who ate...his birthright, which he seemingly gladly exchanged for some bread and a pot of soup/lentils. He was weary, but not about to die. As I read the story, I confessed to the Lord the many times I had become weary and exchanged my weariness of the internal battle for the "relief" of fleshly "sustenance". Those times cost the purchaser alot, and repentance should be in order and more willing for the remedy than the provision. While Christ is both the provision of the remedy and the heir of God, He says we can be co-heirs with Him, hence fellow birthright(s).
Some have become weary and some have wearied themselves. Some have waited, because those who wait on the Lord will mount up as with eagles wings and other's have suffered...others like myself, BUT return/repent with a sorrowful heart, not with expecting, but knowing that the mercy's of God are new every morning, that He and His love is longsuffering, and that, from everlasting to everlasting...HE IS GOD.
PRAY...to the Lord and do not lean on your own understanding. Repent and serve HIM as you did at first.
