Uganda

Today I met with founder of Africa Life Youth Foundation, Richard Sempala in person. I enjoyed speaking with him. He is a minister within the community, not of a church building although he does attend and work with pastors. I learned the church buildings are mostly filled or frequented by the older, not the younger and this is where Richard comes in and Africa Life Youth Foundation. Most of the community (about 80%) is made up of youth 30 years old and younger. I also learned in a part of Uganda, Molech and witchcraft is very prominent. It is Richard and ALYF's goal to plant a church near the place where this is happening to reach those in that place for Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with them and I ask for your prayers to join with them and Stuff With A Message Inc as well. Stuff With A Message is going to begin helping them with our limited resources, but also by reaching out to you, here to become partners with Richard and for Uganda. Here are a few of their needs.

1.) Local languaged Bibles...Only that culture knows who needs what language. They are typically about $20each.

2.) Camera's and Laptops...please do not send inferior products where they have to upgrade or repair. That's insulting and it would cost them more to repair so if you are going to throw it away...please do. :)

3.) Their internet is $150 per month

4.) Occasionally Richard and ALYF will ask for help with an outreach

5.) The land and building combined is about $3000 (that's about an acre of land)

6.) Their drinking water is very poor and unsanitary. They have no water well (borehole as they call it) for fresh water. To drill for a well, it would be about $10,000.

I also learned the ministry of ALYF not only witness's of Jesus Christ to the youth and others, but they also speak to the people they help to educate them in a gift they feel called to or have a passion for. What I'm saying is, they don't recruit, they disciple and they support and teach. I was able to introduce something to Richard he hadn't thought of also. I look forward to where God and how God is going to use US together being culturally minded and allowing God and each and of us to do our parts and allowing Richard and ALYF to do theirs...since many do not know that culture or languages. Please pray and plan to make a small donation to buy just one Bible.

I will be posting the website of the ministry he mentioned that is here in the United States when I get confirmation from the ministry. Until I receive that, I would ask for your prayers for Uganda and for the ministries represented there.
