Poetry, Videography & Hurting Women
I am at Queen Bee Coffee in McDonough GA. Sipping a 'Panama Joe' with whipped cream and caramel. M, mmmm, good. Oh, and a banana. Today I'll need to work on my Bachelor's program among other things, including this post. I am reaching out to you today because I have an opportunity to put together a film to post on youtube, but of which I would need to hire someone to create the scene's. A videographer. I FOUND ONE!! That's the good news. The "other" news is, it's going to cost about $850.00. While this ministry has rarely reached out, I feel this is a good time to and for a good reason. This video will be to reach out to women who've lost a loved on in the womb. My daughter lost her third child (my third grandchild) and 2+ years later, I am still getting emotional while I type this. God gave me a poem that very day...November 28th. As I was reading through some poetry I could see a creation of this poem. After sharing the vision with the videographer, he showed me a video he did for someone grieving. I'm not sure if it was that woman, if it was a relative of the woman, or if the loss of her child actually caused her to go into such depression she could not return, but she walked into a body of water, never to return..she was hurting so bad. Such is the lack of hope in women who either do not know or cannot be touched with a reality they have not yet seen.
With this, I hope to reach women who feel their loss, but offer them hope...that their child is with God and have a reason to live for Him here, so they will see their child again...and Him. The problem:
I am not a 501-c-3 so cannot offer you a tax break, if that would benefit you or be a reason for your decision to give or not. I would have to sell alot of these books to cover the cost of the video, but that would be another option. Feel free to share the website and invite others to purchase a copy. Maybe you could talk to your pastor or a ministry with a 501-c-3 and have them send a check with a missions focus. Being a veteran and KNOWING a depth of despair and lack of hope at times and that some of my brothers and sisters, our men and women, sons and daughters are caught in hopelessness is an experience we wish on no one, but being confronted with the reality, they are, just as these women are must be acknowledged and hope given back. Personally, I never thought about how a woman would feel except to grieve, but when I saw the video of the woman giving up, walking to her watery grave, my eyes were opened even more as to the need for this. I, we or ministries who reach out to women may never touch, speak with or see, but just one woman see's this video and responds to God, our job will have been worth it. I'm not asking you to do this "for" me. I'm asking you to help me get it done, because as I've always done, I've supported for most every book or CD or event we have ever done.
