Eternal v Temporal--Planning

"Why spend money for what isn't food, your wages for what doesn't satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and you will eat well, you will enjoy the fat of the land." (Complete Jewish Bible)

"Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval." (CJB)

So what satisfies? What food perishes and what food endures? It is clear in this that what does not satisfy or endure is those that may feed the temporal but not the eternal. Remember Jesus said to Martha in Luke 10, "41 However, the Lord answered her, "Marta, Marta, you are fretting and worrying about so many things!

42 But there is only one thing that is essential. Miryam has chosen the right thing, and it won't be taken away from her." (CJB)

Clearly what is "essential" is to "Listen carefully to me' (Jesus) and what does satisfy and endure...catch this...will not be taken away. It is eternal in other words. And Jesus, as said by Peter, "68Shim`on Kefa answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the word of eternal life". (John 6, CJB)

Love is the answer, Repentance is the call
