Appeasing
I wish I could post things that would "always" make you š. Things that would be "spiritual" you could agree with that would keep you coming back. Of really like that to be quite honest. An easy relationship. However, few of any had that who follow God. Jesus followers left him, people/rulers accused Paul of being crazy, those who wandered in desert waist lands the world was not worthy of and the preachers/Prophets of Repentance were troubelers. The prophet calling a nation back to God was rejected and said of himself that because of God's hand, heavy upon him, could not sit with merrymakers. We've appeased mankind with grace and mercies of God, His love and forgiveness but neglected to say that your reaction of expecting to be appeased may show your contempt for God's goodness, not knowing these were designed to lead you to... Repentance. It is the reality that we don't repent just because we've sinned but because in comparison alone to God, that is what we are. Our righteousness IS filthy rags. Who casts lots for filthy rags as they cat lots for Jesus garment? A sorcerer was rebuked for wanting to buy something from God as though God was/is some THING to be purchased our someone who could be bribed who needed something...from man. God is greater than any mortal. He gives gifts....to men. He gave us His Only begotten son, Jesus Christ and through him salvation but in each declaration WITH repentance as the walk, not an event, as a continual desire and pursuit, not as though we have already attained it. Relationship with this knowledge...that although our sins are as scarlet, HE can make them white as snow, and through HIM alone we are made righteous by HIS righteousness.
Our repentance pales miserably in comparison to His, so we cannot even boast in our repentance. Our only boast is the gift of Jesus Christ born, and crucified, but... He's alive. Let us rejoice in Repentance, in Gods goodness because it lead is to Repentance and salvation. Let us celebrated Jesus' birth without neglecting the gifts. Merry Christmas in 2021. Let our gift back to Him be what His goodness were designed to lead us to... Repentance.
