Acknowledgement of Repentance Rising

Hello Readers/Visitors/Friends/?Enemies,

Welcome and thank you for your visit. I haven't been on my site in some time and ask your forgiveness. I have excuses that may entitle me to excuses, but none from repentance, because I have not been sick or dead (obviously). We are finally seeing repentance being talked about more and more and THAT IS GOOD...GOD!! Not yelling, just excited. With that said, there is little known about repentance except the misunderstanding that, to some it means, stop sinning, or the simplicity of just give your heart to Jesus Christ. Repentance is so much MORE. Imagine looking at yourself in the best clothes money can buy and mankind can make...exclusive to YOU. Now...Look at others and see them as equally...eh, more or less. NOW...Look at God and realize the best mankind can provide and you can wear are rags at best. That is any persons reality.

Read the story of Job, and pay attention to Elihu's response. Job nor Elihu, nor Jobs friends could boast or receive, or claim privilege of heritage, wealth, race, history of past injustices. In fact, if you read the account you will find Elihu spoke rightly about God to Job and Job did as well. Job the OLD GUY and Elihu the YOUNG GUY were the generation who ushered in Gods involvement and we know His voice. Elihu did not compare Jobs life or righteousness to anyone on earth, including Job. Elihu reminded Job to compare himself to God because in that, there is no comparison. You will see that Job realized he did not understand what he thought he understood and was humble enough to admit it...and humble enough to DETEST (yes, detest) himself AND repent. Elihu in his young life, compared to Job's acknowledged he did not have the understanding or knowledge or experiences Job had with God. Humility.

If there were only 1 impassioned statement Elihu made to Job, it is found in Job 37:14 which says, "Stop Job and consider the wonders of God!" (Complete Jewish Bible) Yet there are more impassioned statement within Elihu's response to Job. We blame or assign sin to Job with the statement which says that Job was convinced of his own righteousness. Wouldn't you if God called you "blameless"? It also says that Job's three friends stopped talking because they couldn't win an argument in essence. The Elihu spoke up and answered Job. How? Job's friends as old as him failed because they were calling him to a false repentance; to acknowledge a sin he hadn't committed. If he had, he would not have been "blameless". Elihu called Job back to God and compared him to God, and he compared himself to God as well. God interrupted Elihu. The text does not say...Elihu finished speaking. It is assumed. He didn't "finish", he was interrupted and after God spoke, there was nothing else to say except what Job said...when he had faith...found in Job 42 which verses 2-5 says, "“I know that you can do everything, that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. “[You asked,] ‘Who is this, hiding counsel, without having knowledge?’ Yes, I spoke, without understanding, of wonders far beyond me, which I didn’t know. “Please listen, and I will speak. [You said,] ‘I will ask questions; and you, give me answers’ — I had heard about you with my ears, but now my eye sees you; therefore I detest [myself] and repent in dust and ashes.” (Complete Jewish Bible)

With all that said, faith was overcome, though included when Job SAW and LOOKED upon God...AND repented, seeing his righteousness as nothing IF there were any comparison to Gods.

There may be assumed one thing. That repentance is held within a lifestyle more than works and even more than faith, though it would include those things. Job repented, although God said he was blameless. Old Covenant-New Covenant: enter John the Immerser...Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus preached repentance. Peter at Pentacost preached Repentance. Paul to the wise and religious at Athens preached Repentance. John the beloved in obedience to the vision and direction of Jesus preached...to the church's, Repentance. Maybe we need to learn more about this thing WE think we understand...that is perhaps to wonderful for us to understand. I get no royalty's from this suggestion, but I heartily recommend a book of someone I've never spoken with.
