As I rest in my chair, sitting next to a friend who has Parkinsons, but whom many believe God is going to heal, we are watching an old show callled, "The Waltons". Many memories of watching this show when it was new, and I was younger. My hair has grayed some and I have aged more. The show is of course speaking of the New Year. One of these days, there will not be a "new year" as it will be overcome by eternity. The question then is nor...will you make a resolution, but did you repent, did you trust someone other than yourself, did you come to the place of "I spoke of things to wonderful for me to understand" and because of that...repent? The Waltons was a time set apart from us who did not know the time of our nations Depression era, when families were real and so was their walk with God, but where their integrity was in tact, yet revealed many had none. Nothing has really changed. Perhaps it is only the individual can change when they make the choice to repent, not just agree with a religious or spiritual mindset without he who is spiritual and originator of all things, which is where integrity, repentance and a walk with God was relational more than religious or "spiritual", but truly real and ongoing. Grandparents were just as real and honest, but embraced. Families talked about God and to people more than about them. Even the parents were honored and respected and the children contributed to the family during the difficulties. They trusted in God more than the President or the government because they knew where their substance came from, and to whom it should flow. When and how will this, let alone any nation be changed? A nation of individuals that decide to repent and follow God and trust in His Christ...Jesus Christ. Why Jesus? Because he was the one sent, the one who came, the one who became the sacrifice for our sin and the one who defeated hell, death and the grave. While it is an individual decision, there must be agreement, but it with the Word of God and an individual relationship, and therein lies the rub of mankind. Humility must encompass looking not only the words of the Word, but upon their, upon His intent which is where the realization that many times we speak of things to wonderful for us to understand, but assume an answer that may be, at best, be incomplete.

Elihu the youth, from the book of Job seems to speak of God and the "ancient way" more than those "ancient". Elihu spoke from a place of respect, a place of not knowing God, but still assigning righteous....TO GOD and reminded Job that his righteousness was not God's and there is no comparison...that God is greater than any mortal. Job was committed to following God more than appeasing his three friends. Judgment was present, but not revelation. Not one of Job's friends pointed him to God, only comparison of humanity to humanity. It was only Elihu that pointed a comparison of mortal to the Immortal...One. If we have forgotten anything, it is that God is greater than any mortal and if we have assumingly "learned" something, it is that mortals think that they/we are now immune from the judgments of God, assuming also He will do nothing or is not real. We do not take into account that He amended for our sin. We forgot of the "old days" where men amended with men because of their appreciation and gratitude that Jesus Christ amended for something we could not. What a great gift and what a great new beginniing...in Jesus, because of Jesus and the individuals in agreement with God and His written, historical Word which includes our decision and responsibility to God and to each other in amending, to prayer, to humility, and to the more we find in repentance, not assuming answers, except that God is greater than any mortal, government or spiritual force. Some of the definitions of Repent are to reset, restore, nourishment, comfort of Yah(God), and to make a willing purpose to amend and turn from sin, but also to...come closer. The wonderful thing is, we don't have to wait for a "New Year", but we can make the decision NOW.

I just wanted to share this with you all so that you may make the decision for a "New Year" or anytime before you leave this earth from now till then.

Acidic or alkaline

From the eye of clouds

Tear ducts of the face

Of the Eternal One(sss)

Can your love survive

The fall

To dance, and make--sound

When it bounces

Seemingly rejected

Till you stay--anyway

To evaporate

To bring and be humidity

Or to penetrate

For repetition--or nourishment

Signs of the Repentant

Till the realization that

Something Is about to happen!!

Where even the Best

Becomes--better

OH MIRACLES!! of

Salvation and Restoration!!

Because of--This Love

Whose God IS--yours-----------------and mine

And always--was--is, and

Will be---Jesus.
