What Engages Repent and What Deters It

There are alot of saying people pick up on. They either like or like one above another. The happy are "takers" and those who desire to be influential are "givers". However to the naked eye, it may appear one gives and another takes when the opposite is true or where there is really a balance sought. I've come upon two quotes lately that seem like "good" thoughts, however to THIS minister/man/father/son they appear contrary. That may be due to the implementation of them in the peoples lives however. Here are the quotes: "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. Ralph Waldo Emerson"

Here is the other quote: "There isn't time, so brief is life, for bickerings, apologies, heartburnings, callings to account. There is only time for loving, and but an instant, so to speak, for that." mark Twain"

However the definition of Repent is: "To make a willing purpose to amend and turn from sin".

By THAT definition I would encourage you to make up your mind which would include and further repentance in the earth and which would deter from it. Which one makes another "accountable" and another not accountable? Which would call you to accountability while excuse themselves and which would include all parties involved to bring harmony?

Do we want "bickerings"? NO...of course not! Do we want "heartburnings"? NO...of course not!

Does God? NO...of course not! He does desire repentance however which would include loving so we can be useful, honorable, compassionate and to make a difference and to be called to account, to apologize/amend so that "bickerings" and "heartburnings" may cease...IF we live for the other person and stand for Jesus Christ. The most wicked person (Jezebel) God gave time to repent. She was not willing and that is what set her judgment. BE...willing...to repent. It is a communicative action of faith and trust.
