Day 1, 2017
My daughter (Kimber [Truesdale], and my granddaughters, Joceylnn, Maya and Alayla brought in 2017 with the blast of the shofar. Maya tried to blow it first, I blew in the new year and Jocelynn blew it after me. Maya tried again and made a sound with it and then Kimber blew it. This morning we woke up with my son-in-law (Keith Truesdale) not feeling well and the grands still coughing. I've been on a journey with "RE-shape" I discovered through my Naturopath Doctor (Melissa Bennett) and have been feeling better. I did blow my eating habit last night however and a few times during the course of the last month. That will change, not as a "New Years resolution" but because it needs to become a lifestyle for health and, as much as its up to me, to live healthy and be able to BE and to DO all that God has called me to do. It will include involvement in others lives as they become, as we become a writing on earth of the goodness and testimony of Jesus Christ, in our lives and involvement with each other. We may not see the development, or some results or the fullness of what we see in each other and what I, as a leader, a patriarch, a son of God deposit, plant, cultivate, water and nourish in each person. Sometimes the seed may fall along the way or on the edges to feed others and us not even know about it.
I was once fearful of sharing the poetry and writing the articles of God's faithfulness and my failures because I thought the poetry wasn't good enough and/or the writing of articles might reflect a "goodness of my own" when it is God's through Jesus Christ...not mine. We are HIS workmanship...not our own. If we are our own, He will not recognize us/me and I, and believe "we" want Him to recognize us. Not does He see "Jesus" but does He see who He created ME to BE and the part of Jesus Christ is the blood he shed for me; it is NOT MINE...Its is HIM. Imperfection showing forth a love, a devotion, an obedience to a life of the Spirit of God by which I learned no differently than Jesus himself...through suffering. "8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him," (Heb 5:8-9)
So in the first day of 2017 after 57 years on this earth, I thank God for letting me "suffer" that I may "learn obedience" and that I "might" through that suffering become (progressive) perfected (in love) and become one of HIS writings on earth. Perhaps that was what John was talking about in his Gospel in 21:25 which says, "But there are also many other things Yeshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don’t think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!" (CJB) We have books written and others that have not been written except in peoples heart. The Unheard/Unseen that though we think we may be an Elijah, God has reserved a remnant of several thousand. The Revelation speaks of 144,000 in Revelation 7. It speaks of the remnant of ISRAEL and speaks to the different tribes in ISRAEL and only then mentions the "other" nations...who are an innumerable. We need to look upon Israel and HIS nation, HIS people with a "New" outlook and become less arrogant and much more humble and become, even through suffering...obedient to the Word of God. Though we, not being Israel may be a part of the saved, even the chosen, we are not Israel and we are not the chosen of Israel, of the remnant of Israel. Let us look to God with a "NEW" fear, a "NEW" respect, a "NEW honor toward HIM and HIS people while not discounting ourselves. In that we may honor both God, the promise of God through Abraham and the hope of eternal life Through and because of Jesus Christ and that we may walk as sons of God, whether we walk as "One" with Him or as repentant becoming that "Oneness" in "Newness" and it becomes a "NEW'...lifestyle, devotion. obedience, being made perfect...in love and In Christ who is the author of "NEW".
Will you trust Jesus Christ? Will you lift up HIS name above yours or your ministry...like John the Immerser did, like Jesus himself did, like Peter did, like Paul did? The Bible says that if we lift up HIS name, HE will draw all men to HIMSELF...that we may gain, through this "Naturopath" of the Spirit, eternal life. Selah
