The Labor and Delivery of Love
The Labor and Delivery of Love is a new writing I recently completed although it is far from over. Far to much we have "gathered information" instead of sought more of God, held--let me say that again--HELD within that information we deemed as good, bad or mediocre and we have either learned nothing because there is or has been no change or we do not confront the good, bad or mediocre (thought, idea or author). As a friend said when I recently sent her this writing, "I wasn't going to call and say, wow Randy that was...". She wanted to know WHY I wrote it, WHERE I was at, HOW the Lord was giving it to me and even WHY He would give it to me of all people. The truth is I couldn't really give her a clear answer. I could see the need for the writing and felt the need to write it to meet that need, but to go to the depth of it for myself--I missed, even though the depth is there. I know this sounds confusing but listen, if we stop at words written and do not go to the one who gave/gives/is giving them, we miss the depth or the experience of the WOW in that depth. The writing is about a testimony of Jesus in my life but also of others who surrounded me--good and bad and finding out about those really indifferent. It is not meant as a sob story or just another testimony. She told me Randy, this book is deep calling to deep not just about what you went through. I know it is there to confront issues and to change people as it had brought change to me. It will not be the same change for you as it was for me however--so it is complete though being far from over (in the lives of those who read it and are touched by it). It is a call to the depths of who I "used" to be to where I am now--because of Christ and those who've loved and those who said they did but proved otherwise and those who did not love but rather injured. It included everyone involved and truly, God used ALL things TOGETHER for the good of those who love Him, in this case--namely--Randy. But it doesn't end with Randy. If it is a truth of God then it applies to more than an author no matter how prophetic, apostolic, pastoral, etc they are or are not. Others will be able to glean from this "writing" from generation to generation, as long as Christ tarries and it can and does speak today. I will have the link as soon as it is formatted and complete in its publishing process.
